Hello World

This is my first post. I realize that the probability of anyone reading this are extremely small however i will pretend that i am actually talking to someone so i don't feel so self-conscious. I am a very very very opinionated person and i thought what better way to rant everyday about anything then write a blog. The chances of anyone reading are pretty slim so its basically a diary. But i can at least pretend i am not talking to myself.

So what am i going to write about in my new blog? well, i am not generally are paranoid person / conspiracy theorist however recently i have been getting extremely nervous as i witness our loss of liberty day by day. I come from Ireland. I assume you know about Ireland's current climate. lets just say its not good. we needed a lot of money (for Ireland roughly 100 billion not much but if u consider we have a population of approx. 4.5 million people then it becomes a lot of money). Anyway getting back to the point apologies if i rant to much i am just typing the words that come into my head. so Ireland needed money and the markets were being tight with there cash via big interest rates, almost 7%. So the Irish government went crying like the little bitches they are to the E.U.. the E.U. agreed to fund Ireland however they placed a "economic adviser" to tell us ... oh wait pardon me that's advise us on economic situations. the IMF also entered Ireland and of course they had "advise" to dispense liberally as well. Anyway the Irish government are currently doing everything the grown ups tell them to and get a pat on the head and a golden star if they do as they are told.

Sorry as i said i rant.

So this was the first step that kinda got me thinking over Irish sovereignty. The E.U. wanted to pass a treaty about i dunno 3 or 4 years ago called the Lisbon treaty. They said it was to update laws Etc. but of course us Irish didn't believe them. In order for the treaty to be passed ALL member states must agree to implement it etc. in other words all countries must be on board. The Irish constitution states that the government may not make this decision for the Irish people and so a vote was held. The Irish people said no to it. Europe really didn't like this as they really wanted this treaty passed and so they puts lots of pressure on the Irish government  to pass it. Oh i said pressure i meant "advise". This next bit i find hard to swallow. The Irish government came back from Brussels and basically said sorry lads wrong answer we'll try again and so they held another vote. The treaty was then passed on the 2nd go ( i am not accusing the Irish government of rigging the votes).

Anyway what I am trying to get to is that europe learned there lesson. Recently they passed a law saying that treaties could be passed with only 8 of the member states consent.

Ireland no longer has control over laws that are passed in Brussels that then HAVE to be implemented in Ireland. I you are still reading give yourself a pat on the back ;).

I am sick of hearing everyday how we are losing our independence. our control. that fantasy/fictional oppressive government of the future we see in movies. I am afraid its getting closer and i have a terrible feeling its coming quickly.

Keep your eyes open and don't sit down and take it when they take control away from you. Remember it starts we baby steps...
